Universal PCB Functional Testers for Multiple Lower Volume Boards
Perhaps your product uses several boards produced in
low volumes. If so, you might like to consider a universal tester.
Think of this as a functional tester based on the ICT tester concept.
Use the same set of test instruments and software code library to test
several different board designs.
You will save money because one test station is less
expensive than several single-use testers where the instruments remain
idle much of the time. This makes is easier to justify automated
testing for low-volume boards. It also spreads the cost of high
performance instruments over several low volume products. When the
next new board design goes into production, just add a new fixture and
start testing. |
