Custom Systems to Test

Just About Anything

Automated PCB Functional Test and PCB Test Fixtures

Whether you board is produced in high or low volumes, whether it is part of a consumer or a medical product, whether you have basic or unusual requirements, we can provide you with a system to functionally test your board.  We will even develop the test procedure if you don't have one.

  • Dedicated functional testers for a single board design produced in high volumes

  • Bench-top system for a single board produced in low volumes

  • Universal test rack systems for several board designs produced in low volumes

Common Board Tester Features

  • Robust, repeatable and easy to use by any operator

  • Computer-based instruments like National Instruments cards

  • Programmable rack and bench-top instruments

  • Bed of nails PCB test fixtures

  • Custom LabVIEW and embedded software applications

  • Custom electronics when required

  • Automated tester malfunction detection

  • FDA-compliant validation for systems and software used to test medical products

Examples of Our Work

Universal PCB Functional Testers for Multiple Lower Volume Boards

Perhaps your product uses several boards produced in low volumes.  If so, you might like to consider a universal tester.  Think of this as a functional tester based on the ICT tester concept.  Use the same set of test instruments and software code library to test several different board designs.

You will save money because one test station is less expensive than several single-use testers where the instruments remain idle much of the time.  This makes is easier to justify automated testing for low-volume boards.  It also spreads the cost of high performance instruments over several low volume products.  When the next new board design goes into production, just add a new fixture and start testing.

Dedicated PCB Functional Testers for High Volume Boards

If your board is manufactured in high volumes, then you may prefer a tester designed specifically to test your board.  The advantage is that you don't pay for any hardware or software that is not directly required to test your board.  Everything is optimized for increased throughput, accuracy and continuous robust operation.
